TruNeura’s user journey spans 6+ platforms and multiple redirects:
- User clicks an affiliate link (Trackdesk)
- Fills out a HubSpot or external form
- Lands on a thank-you page
- Books a call (Zoom)
- Completes assessments (Hubspot form)
- Enrolls and submits payments (Stripe)
There was a missing connection in their flow, so they couldn’t have all the data in one place.
With a longer, multi‑step funnel that also takes time to close a deal, it is important to track every step of the customer journey to avoid any misunderstandings with your partners.
Trackdesk came with a solution to pair the HubSpot submission to the Trackdesk click using consistent identifiers thanks to custom scripting and middleware.

The Solution: A Multi-System Attribution Engine
TruNeura’s integration unified four platforms into one automated data flow:
Step 1: Capturing the HubSpot Submission ID Automatically
When a user submits a HubSpot form:
- They’re redirected to a thank-you page
- The URL contains HubSpot’s Submission ID
- A custom script extracts and stores this ID
This became the anchor for matching the form submission to a click session.
Step 2: Retrieving Trackdesk CID from the Browser
Trackdesk stores the CID when a user clicks an affiliate link.
On the thank-you page, the script retrieves:
- CID (click ID)
- Submission ID
These three values form a complete identity chain.
Step 3: Sending Data to Albato
Once data was captured on the thank-you page:
- A custom Albato webhook is triggered.
- Albato receives:
- CID
- Submission ID
- Timestamp
- Albato attempts to pair the email with the click by matching the CID to the email.
- If a match wasn't found instantly, Albato retries using a grace period logic.
Albato became the orchestration layer that filled the gaps between HubSpot and Trackdesk.
Step 4: Updating HubSpot Contact Records Automatically
Albato automatically passes the matched affiliate identifiers into HubSpot:
- Affiliate ID
- Source campaign
- CID / external CID
- Tracking parameters
HubSpot then updates the contact with precise attribution data.
Step 5: Syncing Stripe Sales Into Trackdesk
Stripe identifies the contact by email and triggers conversion creation in Trackdesk.
Every booking, payment, or renewal is now tracked with full affiliate attribution.
