TruNeura—an AI-driven cognitive health platform—needed a way to track a deeply complex, multi-step funnel that spanned landing pages, external forms, HubSpot submissions, assessments, bookings, and Stripe payments.

The problem? None of these systems spoke the same language.

This resulted in broken attribution, mismatched IDs, and no way to connect a user’s click (CID) with their HubSpot submission (Submission ID) and their email, especially when forms and redirects were handled externally.

…until they switched to Trackdesk.

With Trackdesk, TruNeura built a fully automated attribution engine where:

The Challenge: A Funnel Too Complex for Traditional Attribution

TruNeura’s user journey spans 6+ platforms and multiple redirects:

  1. User clicks an affiliate link (Trackdesk)
  2. Fills out a HubSpot or external form
  3. Lands on a thank-you page
  4. Books a call (Zoom)
  5. Completes assessments (Hubspot form)
  6. Enrolls and submits payments (Stripe)

There was a missing connection in their flow, so they couldn’t have all the data in one place. 

With a longer, multi‑step funnel that also takes time to close a deal, it is important to track every step of the customer journey to avoid any misunderstandings with your partners.

Trackdesk came with a solution to pair the HubSpot submission to the Trackdesk click using consistent identifiers thanks to custom scripting and middleware.

TruNeura’s integration unified four platforms into one automated data flow:

Step 1: Capturing the HubSpot Submission ID Automatically

When a user submits a HubSpot form:

  1. They’re redirected to a thank-you page
  2. The URL contains HubSpot’s Submission ID
  3. A custom script extracts and stores this ID

This became the anchor for matching the form submission to a click session.

Step 2: Retrieving Trackdesk CID from the Browser

Trackdesk stores the CID when a user clicks an affiliate link.

On the thank-you page, the script retrieves:

  • CID (click ID)
  • Submission ID
  • Email

These three values form a complete identity chain.

Step 3: Sending Data to Albato

Once data was captured on the thank-you page:

  • A custom Albato webhook is triggered.
  • Albato receives:
    • CID
    • Submission ID
    • Email
    • Timestamp
  • Albato attempts to pair the email with the click by matching the CID to the email.
  • If a match wasn't found instantly, Albato retries using a grace period logic.

Albato became the orchestration layer that filled the gaps between HubSpot and Trackdesk.

Step 4: Updating HubSpot Contact Records Automatically

Albato automatically passes the matched affiliate identifiers into HubSpot:

  • Affiliate ID
  • Source campaign
  • CID / external CID
  • Tracking parameters

HubSpot then updates the contact with precise attribution data.

Step 5: Syncing Stripe Sales Into Trackdesk

Stripe identifies the contact by email and triggers conversion creation in Trackdesk.

Every booking, payment, or renewal is now tracked with full affiliate attribution.
